The victim was walking from the high school to the Vons shopping center parking lot. As he walked through the lot, he looked at the suspect, Bryan Mullins, 18, of Moorpark, who was sitting in a vehicle with three other persons. The suspect got out of the car and approached the victim, saying "What are you looking at?" The suspect punched the victim in the face once with a closed fist, got back in the car and left. The victim was transported to the Simi Valley Hospital and later to his personal physician. The victim suffered a concussion and injuries to his mouth that will require surgery. The Moorpark high School Resource Officer investigated the incident and identified the suspect as Mullins. On Feb. 16, members of the Moorpark Police Department Special Enforcement Unit arrested Mullins at his residence for felony battery.
