Match wits with 'Jeopardy!' champ Recordbreaking "Jeopardy!" winner Ken Jennings will host a trivia night and talk about his new best-selling book at 7 p.m. Wed., March 19 at the High Street Arts Center, 45 E. High St., Moorpark. The event is sponsored by the Moorpark City Library. Admission is free. Jennings will serve as master of ceremonies for a trivia competition with questions taken from his book, "Ken Jennings Trivia Almanac: 8,888 Questions in 365 Days," and will award prizes to the winners. In this book for trivia buffs, the 365 entries feature "This Day in History" factoids, trivia quizzes, and questions categorized by Jennings as "Easy," "Hard," and "Yeah, Good Luck." Topics cover every subject from paleontology to mixology, sports feats to Bach suites, medieval popes to daytime soaps. Jennings was born in Seattle but spent much of his childhood in Seoul, South Korea and graduated from Brigham Young University. He worked as a computer programmer until his six-month streak on the television quiz show "Jeopardy!" When he lost on the Nov. 30 show, Jennings had won 74 games and $2.52 million, both American game show records. Jennings lives in Seattle with his wife Mindy and two children.
