Simi Valley Hospital elects new board chair

The Simi Valley Hospital Foundation announced recently that Jill Haney, vice president of Santa Barbara Bank and Trust, will provide leadership as the new board chair.

Appointed by a unanimous vote, Haney assumes responsibilities as board chair from Leigh Nixon, president and CEO of the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Haney is also a board director for the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Simi Sunset Rotary.

Five new community leaders were welcomed to serve on the board: Dee Dee Cavanaugh, vice president, First California Bank; Alex Gandel, executive, Troop Real Estate; Roy Jones, captain, Simi Valley Police Department; Jarrod Degonia, district director for Assemblymember Cameron Smyth; and Richard Sanders, vice president, Janzen, Johnston and Rockwell Emergency Management Medicine Services Inc.

The five new members join the existing board, which includes Monica Berlin, John Grabowsky, Gregg P. Hartman, Paul Miller, Leigh Nixon, Joan Rogers and David A. Sommer.
