Murder mystery theater serves up dinner and death

Gypsy Players presents the interactive murder mystery dinner and show, "The Divine Murders of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood," at Paul's Italian Villa in Simi Valley for Sunday Champagne Brunch performances on April 6 and May 18 and also for 8 p.m. Friday performances on March 28, April 18 and May 23.

The action takes place all around the audience. An actor may be seated at the table, the dinner guests may be a suspect and everyone has the opportunity to solve the crime. The sleuth coming closest receives a prize.

This southern murder mystery parody was written by Roxanne Diesel and stars Pat Newbert, Deborah Parsons, Nikki Morrow, Marilyn Zaslow and Diesel.

The show, rated PG-13 for mild langue, runs about twoandahalf hours. Reservations are required.

The cost of $45 includes an Italian meal, the show and wait staff gratuities. The restaurant is at 2585 Cochran St., Ste. I.
