Sheriff's Blotter In the 600 block of Palomar Avenue sometime between March 20 and April 4 an unknown suspect obtained credit using someone else's identity. A young person was cited at Sarah Avenue at Millard Street on March 28 for fleeing deputies when ordered to stop. On March 28, someone allegedly stole another person's property while working at a business in the 200 block of Science Drive. A telecommunications company was burglarized on April 1 in the 1300 block of Tierra Rejada Road. On April 1 a nursery in the 1400 block of Tierra Rejada Road was burglarized. On April 4 two suspects walking in the 4500 block of Tierra Rejada Road were found to be in possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. Both were cited and released. A theft occurred on April 5 at the corner of Miller Parkway and Tierra Rejada Road when unknown persons removed private property without the owner's permission. During an investigation of a report of people drinking in public near the Metrolink Station on High Street on April 6, a deputy overheard a suspect say he wanted $100 for something he was holding in a bag in his hand. The deputy approached the suspect, who then threw the bag underneath a nearby wooden table. Inside the bag were two smaller bags containing a total of 15 grams of marijuana. The man was arrested for possession for sale. Property was stolen from a home in the 4700 block of South Moorpark Avenue on April 8. On April 10 at Los Angeles Avenue and Miller Parkway, marijuana was found in the car of someone on probation who had been pulled over during a traffic stop. Items were stolen from the Party Store in the 500 block of Los Angeles Avenue on April 12. On April 12 a shoplifter was reported in the Kohl's store in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue. A burglar was caught looking over items in a bedroom of a home in the 50 block of Majestic Court on April 13. On April 13 a juvenile was found trespassing on a property in the 100 block of Second Street. The subject fled deputies by jumping a fence, but was apprehended and transported to juvenile hall in Ventura. A man was seen driving in the dark without headlights on April 13 near the intersection of Harry and Second streets. Upon contact, the driver denied he was driving and was subsequently arrested. On April 14, four employees of the Target store in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue entered the store and removed merchandise without paying for it. The value of the merchandise exceeded $400. Three of the suspects were found and arrested. A DUI incident took place on April 4 on Los Angeles Avenue and Maureen Lane. Incidents of car burglary/vandalism took place at the dates and places indicated: March 21 in the 13800 block of Princeton Avenue, April 1 in the 6400 block of East Westwood Street, April 5 on Waynes Way, April 9 in the 12900 block of View Mesa Street, April 13 in the 6000 block of Pecan Avenue, April 13 in the 7000 block of Pecan Avenue. Incidents of graffiti/vandalism took place at the dates and places indicated: March 30 in the 600 block of Magnolia Street, April 1 in the wash behind the 700 block of Pecan Avenue, April 4 in the Shadyridge Drive buffer zone, April 4 in the 15400 block of Campus Park Drive, April 10 in the 200 block of Shasta Drive, April 10 in the 200 block of Shasta Avenue.
Incidents of a person driving without a license or a suspended license took place at the dates and places indicated: April 1 on Spring Road and Roberts Avenue, April 2 headed westbound on SR 118 at Collins Drive, April 2 on the 118 at Flory Avenue, April 4 at Charles Street and Walnut Road, April 5 at Los Angeles Avenue and Millard Street, April 5 at the westbound 118 just east of Spring Road, April 7 in an undisclosed area of Moorpark, April 7 on Spring Road near SR 118, April 8 at an undisclosed area of Moorpark, April 9 on the 118 at Hitch Road, April 10 where the 23 Freeway becomes the 118, April 14 in the 400 block of Los Angeles Avenue, April 14 in an undisclosed area of Moorpark. |
