Moorpark suspect wanted in stabbing

The suspect wanted for the stabbing of Camarillo resident Gregory Allan Ruiz, 19, was recently named as Gilbert Joseph Gutierrez, 47, of Moorpark.

Ruiz was stabbed on April 6 in the 100 block of Moorpark Ave., Moorpark. According to police reports, witnesses said the suspect and victim were arguing when the stabbing occurred. Ruiz suffered a punctured lung and was last reported in stable condition at Simi Valley Hospital.

Gutierrez is wanted for questioning. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call Detective Allen Devers at the East County Major Crimes Unit, (805) 494-8222.
