'Green' tip

This is a helpful hint for those who want to save on water. While waiting for the hot water to come through the faucet, catch the cold water in empty gallon milk containers, buckets, bowls or pots. Use this water for indoor or outdoor plants, or to heat up for doing dishes.

A great deal of water goes down the drain while waiting for the hot water to come through.
