Goldwater to speak, sign book

The Moorpark City Library will host Barry M. Goldwater Jr., a former U.S. representative from California and the son of Sen. Goldwater, at 7 p.m. Fri., May 16 in the Apricot Room, Council Chamber, 799 Moorpark Ave. Moorpark.

Goldwater will discuss his new book, "Pure Goldwater," co-written with John Dean. A question-and-answer session and book signing will follow the talk.

There is no charge to attend. Books will be available for purchase at the event.

For more than 50 years, Sen. Goldwater kept a private journal, recording his reflections on his political and personal life. In "Pure Goldwater," best-selling author Dean and Goldwater's son combine analysis with Goldwater's own words.
