Plenty of activities at city's Kids Day

Moorpark Recreation will host Kids Day in the Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., May 10 at Arroyo Vista Park, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road, Moorpark. Admission is free.

The event will include TouchaTruck, the Kids Expo, handson activities, games and attractions, food booths, and more.

Touch-a-truck will feature children's favorite vehicles, including dump trucks, fire engines, and police cars. Children will also learn how trash trucks work, and have the opportunity to take a free ride on the city bus.

The Kids Expo will include dozens of youthserving businesses and organizations in the Moorpark community, such as youth sports organizations, the Boys & Girls Club, Neighborhood for Learning, Moorpark Recreation, and more.

The Moorpark Kiwanis will provide free child ID kits.

Camp Moorpark will have active games and sports such as tugo-war, capture the flag, and dodgeball. Children can make a Mother's Day card at the Moorpark Mom's Connection booth. Lewis Music Academy will provide handson music activities.

The event will also have bounce tents, slides and obstacle courses, and food vendors.
