Club to host 'Hat Lady'

The Moorpark Women's Fortnightly Club will host "Hat Lady" Pat Swift at the monthly meeting at 10 a.m., Fri., May 9, at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, 4823 Mira Sol Drive, Moorpark.

Swift will discuss the history of hat fashions.

Gal's Night Out, which is open for all women, but is especially for those who can't make a day meeting, will be a potluck at 7 p.m., Mon., May 19. Attendees should bring a dish made from their mother's favorite recipe.

The Fortnightly Club, established in 1905, is open to all women. The club, with more than 125 members, supports philanthropic and educational activities. Members also socialize through a variety of small groups.
