Gala kicks off annual strawberry celebration

The California Strawberry Festival Gala will be held at 6:30 p.m. Fri., May 9 at the Courtyard by Marriott, 600 E. Esplanade Drive, Oxnard.

The event is black tie-optional and will feature a live band and gourmet dining. Cocktails will be served at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $75.
