Mormon choir to sing in Simi

The Southern California Mormon Choir will perform at 7 p.m. Sat., May 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints Sinaloa Building, 480 Sinaloa Road, Simi Valley.

There will be an open house and refreshments served after the performance. The public is invited and admission is free.

The group is a 120-voice choral ensemble directed by Frank Turner. Since its formation in 1953, the choir has performed concerts of classical, sacred, folk, patriotic and popular choral music throughout Southern California.

The choir has performed with the Boston Pops, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Glendale Symphony, the Pacific Symphony, and others.

The Simi Valley Stake Choir will join in singing two numbers.

The event is presented by the LDS Simi Valley Stake.
