Site open for disposal of electronic waste

The city of Moorpark is sponsoring a free electronic waste disposal event tomorrow, Sat., May 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Moorpark Public Services Facility, 627 Fitch Ave., behind the police services building off Spring and Flinn.

This event is for Moorpark residents and businesses only. No appointment is necessary but participants need to bring an ID or current utility bill showing residency or proof of business ownership.

Accepted items include the following: computer equipment, PCs, game consoles, printers, scanners, fax machines, all types of computer monitors, televisions, projection TVs, VCRs, DVD players, answering machines, radios and telephones.

Only electronic waste will be accepted- no hazardous waste or household trash.
