Make a date with guide dogs

Guide Dogs for the Blind presents a "Date With Dogs" benefit from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sat., May 31 at the Moorpark Country Club clubhouse, 11800 Championship Drive.

The event will feature guide dog trainer demonstration, simulated guide dog walks under blindfold, "puppy booth" photo opportunities, buffet luncheon and a raffle.

Proceeds from the event will support the health of guide dogs and guide dog puppies-in-training in Ventura County.

The nonprofit organization has produced more than 11,000 partnerships across North America and provides services free of charge.

The cost is $65 per person.
