Congratulations to Moorpark High School for winning the national championship in the Academic Decathlon.

Oak Park High School and Moorpark High school go back a long way in sports (Tri-Valley League) and more.

Our family moved to Oak Park in 1976. Our son was a member of the first class to go K12 (1978-1991) in the Oak Park Unified School District and my late husband, Bob Kahn, served as a trustee on the Oak Park Unified School District Board of Education from 1989 to 2002. Public school education was a top priority in the education field to Bob.

Congratulations to Larry Jones and the decathlon team and best wishes ahead. Tell your school to keep doing what it is doing- it surely works.
