Breanna makes a request

The first thing I want to share is the excitement of my high school graduation ceremony with my class of 2008. Yes, I am officially a graduate of Moorpark High School and I owe it all to the administration and teachers, because without them I would never have been able to do it by myself.

As for the graduation ceremony itself, "Wow," because I was surprised by all the unexpected support I received. All of my immediate family and friends were there to support me, but when they called my name, it took me a while as I walked from my wheelchair to the podium. When I made it to the top I was surprised at what I saw as I looked around and saw my fellow classmates and everyone in the stands giving me a standing ovation, a moment I will never forget. Afterwards I glanced over at my family and saw both my mom and sister in the front row crying.

I have to endure another craniotomy in less than one week on July 15 at UCLA Medical Center at 5 a.m. I am very nervous but according to my fantastic doctor at UCLA, I am in need of this surgery desperately and I know my family and friends will be supporting in prayer until I am through it. Therefore, it is going to be a long day, and I will need to bring my "A game" to match that of the surgeons.

Please just keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
