Vandal mars grass in city park

Authorities arrested a 21year-old Moorpark man who drove his vehicle onto the grass and playfields at Miller Park at about 5 a.m. last Saturday. The man was caught in the act driving a Jeep Cherokee in circles throughout the park while under the influence of alcohol, authorities said.

"He was driving erratically all over sports fields and did circles in front of restrooms," said Senior Dep. Robert Berger of the Moorpark Police. He also had three marijuana plants in his vehicle.

Deputies were patrolling the area when the incident occurred. Damages at the park are estimated at more than $400, which is a felony.
