Adult center hosts big band birthday bash

The Moorpark Active Adult Center will host the September birthday luncheon and entertainment on Wed., Sept. at the center, 799 Moorpark Ave.

Lunch will be served at noon in the center's multipurpose room. The menu features salad, Salisbury steak and dessert.

Suggested lunch donation is $2.25 for ages 60 and up, and $5 for all others. Call (805) 5176261 for a reservation.

A free performance by the 18piece big band The Unforgettables will follow the luncheon at 1 p.m. in Civic Center Apricot Room, next door to the center.

The band will play hits from the '30s, '40s and '50s. A vocal guest star will perform popular Frank Sinatra tunes.
