Sheriff's Blotter Five minors walked into a store in the 4200 block of Tierra Rejada Road on Oct. 4 and stole beer. One of the minors involved, a known suspect, was identified and placed under arrest. Money was stolen from a purse in a home on Big Trail Circle on Oct. 13. An attempted burglary took place on Oct. 17 in the 15000 block of Happy Camp Canyon Road at the Rustic Canyon Golf Course. Someone cut off several branches of a tree on Bubbling Brook Street sometime between Oct. 17 and 21. A lost wallet was picked up at Wood Ranch restaurant on Los Angeles Avenue on Oct. 19 and a credit card inside was used in an attempt to purchase gasoline at two area gas stations. On Oct. 21 someone stole a bicycle from the front porch of a home on Inglewood Street. The bicycle was recovered later on an unrelated call. Political signs were reported stolen on Oct. 21 from a front lawn and front door on Harte Lane. A battery took place on Oct. 21 on Los Angeles Avenue west of Leta Yancy Road. The victim's arms and face were punched several times. A man found sleeping on a culde-sac on Marymount Street on Oct. 21 was found to be under the influence of illegal drugs and in possession of a hypodermic needle. He was arrested. On Oct. 21 two people were found sleeping inside a vehicle parked in an undisclosed area in Moorpark. One of the suspects was found to be in possession of two Seroquel pills and was arrested. Someone struck a traffic signal pole while driving in an undisclosed area of Moorpark on Oct. 21 but left the scene without reporting it to authorities. The driver was later contacted at the Moorpark Police Station and arrested. A man was arrested on Oct. 22 on Everett Street for selling items from a vending cart without a permit. A residential burglary took place on Oct. 22 in the 14900 block of Reedley Street when someone reached through an open window and stole property. A thief stole $500 worth of goods from the Ralphs store in the 100 block of East Los Angeles Avenue. The incident took place on Oct. 22. During a consensual contact made on Oct. 24 by deputies checking a person on Loyola Street, it was determined the person was under the influence of illegal drugs and an arrest was made. A battery took place on Oct. 24 on Wheaton Street when a suspect allegedly grabbed a female by the throat and attempted to choke her. The suspect was placed under arrest. A person on probation was found to be in possession of burglary tools and under the influence of alcohol. He was placed under arrest on Oct. 25 on Hartford Street. On Oct. 25 a battery took place on Conejo Mesa Street when a male pulled his girlfriend out of the bed of his truck, causing her to fall onto the road. She stood and walked to the driver's side door to talk to him, but he got out of the truck, grabbed her by the throat and again threw her to the ground. She sustained a broken tailbone. The boyfriend then drove her to the emergency room at Los Robles Hospital where she was treated. The boyfriend was arrested at the hospital. On Oct. 27 a person attempted to leave a store in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue without paying for merchandise. An arrest was made on Millard Street on Oct. 27 when a man tried to make off with property belonging to a business without paying for it. On Oct. 27 during an arrest made in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue for shoplifting, a suspect was found to also be in possession of a controlled substance. Incidents of auto vandalism or burglary took place Oct. 20 on Colibri Court and Oct. 23 on Mesa Verde Road. Incidents of graffiti/vandalism took place Oct. 22 on Majestic Court, Oct. 22 on Spring Road and Oct. 23 on Condor Drive. Incidents of a person driving without a license or a suspended license took place at the dates and places indicated: Oct. 21, 22, 23 and 24 in undisclosed areas of Moorpark; Oct. 21 on Park Lane; Oct. 22 on Los Angeles Avenue around Tierra Rejada Road; Oct. 23 on Los Angeles Avenue; Oct. 24 on Los Angeles Avenue; Oct. 25 on Los Angeles Avenue around Spring Road; and Oct. 25 on Esther Avenue.
Incidents of DUI took place Oct. 22 on Sarah Street, Oct. 24 on Miller Parkway and Tierra Rejada Road and Oct. 25 on Amherst Street. |
